Plano-Convex (PCX) lenses with positive focal length are well-suited for imaging applications and are also useful in emitters, detectors, lasers, and fiber optics. They have one convex surface and are commonly used in various industries including industrial, pharmaceutical, robotics, and defense. For maximum efficiency, the plano surface of the lens should face the desired focal plane.
